The paintings

are largely portraits and
collect character, story, subtext and place
using only faces.
The style is the familiar contemporary
environment of a TV or film
screen with the frame size of the paintings
working out close to the aspect ratio of a
wide screen TV and the de-saturated colours
simulating the colour schemes on many
modern TV shows. The themes that he
explores centre on existence and
expressing consciousness.
